F1 Roger Williamson's fatal accident

F1 Roger Williamson's fatal accident
Roger Williamson (1948 - 1973)
1973 Dutch Grand Prix

Roger Williamson (1948 - 1973) Holland, 1973: Young rookie driver Roger Williamson is tragically killed when his car suffers tyre failure, clips the barriers, flips and catches fire.

Fellow driver David Purley comes to his aid, but to no avail. He is unable to push the car back onto it's wheels. The marshalls are ill-equipped and poorly trained. Purley manages to get a fire extinguisher but the fire is too powerful. He walks away in despair. Roger Williamson, may we never forget you.
